Saturn Metals Ltd (ASX:STN) has received additional assay results from its 10,000-metre drilling program at its Apollo Gold Project near Leonora in Western Australia.
These latest results have successfully extended hanging-wall mineralisation 150 metres to the north and provided evidence of new gold mineralisation outside of the resource model.
Highlights include 5 metres at 4.7 g/t gold from 126 metres, 6 metres at 4.0 8g/t gold from 108 metres and 14 metres at 1.4 g/t gold from 133 metres.
Other intersections from this latest batch of results can be seen in yellow below.
Evidence of new zones of mineralisation
The drilling provided evidence of new mineralisation including some 350 metres easy of the hanging-wall resource model.
The Ra mineralisation was extended 100 metres to the south and drilling has provided further evidence of gold mineralisation in the Ra – Apollo Hill Link Zone.
More drilling set to commence early January
Saturn’s managing director Ian Bamborough said: “Results continue to show the potential for significant resource growth immediately adjacent to Apollo Hill in the higher-grade hanging-wall zones, while a widening mineralised corridor may provide multiple opportunities for additional discovery.
“Improving mineralisation in other areas such as the Ra area is a bonus.
“Importantly, we look forward to results from our recently completed deeper step out holes which have been drilled to test for mineralisation down dip of both the northern and southern higher-grade hanging-wall zones.
“A second 10,000-metre extensional RC phase is planned to commence in early January 2020.”
Assays also remain pending for nine holes representing 2,000 metres of drilling completed as part of this program.
