CentralNic Group PLC (LON:CNIC), the global internet platform that derives revenue from the subscription sales of domain names and web services, has announced the appointment of Iain McDonald as its non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
In a statement, the group noted that McDonald will replace Mike Turner, who, while stepping down as chairman, will remain a non-executive director of the company.
It pointed out that McDonald, who has been a board member of CentralNic since 2015, is the founder of Belerion Capital, an investor and investment advisor in technology and e-commerce companies.
He is also a non-executive director of The Hut Group and Boohoo.com, the group added.
Ben Crawford, CEO of CentralNic, commented: "We are happy that Iain is stepping up from Non-Executive Director to Non-Executive Chairman of CentralNic.
“His in-depth understanding of the technology and e-commerce sectors, the businesses within them and their value will be instrumental to us as we seek further expansion, both organic and through acquisition.”
"At the same time, we are delighted to retain the skills and experience of Mike Turner on our board," the CEO added.
