Provident Financial poaches finance chief from Secure Trust Bank

Provident Financial - Provident Financial appoints new chief finance officer

Provident Financial PLC (LON:PFG) has appointed Neeraj Kapur in as its new finance chief as of 1 April next year.

Kapur is being poached from Secure Trust Bank PLC (LON:STB), where he has been in the same role since 2011, following several years at RBS.

He will replace Simon Thomas, who is leaving the doorstep lender for personal health reasons, as previously announced over the summer.

Chief executive Malcom Le May highlighted Kapur's “deep retail banking, consumer finance and savings experience and expertise”.
