Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT) Adrian Griffin will be one of five presenters involved in the future energy storage industries session at the WA Clean Energy Forum today.
The session will cover current and emerging energy storage technologies, which is where LIT will present lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) as a future storage technology.
LIT has been producing LFP cathode powders in its pilot plant in Brisbane and these powders have been extensively evaluated by Chinese and Japanese battery producers.
Furthermore, LIT believes lithium phosphate is an ideal feed material as it can be derived from mine waste and recycled lithium-ion batteries.
Exposed to all parts of the circular battery economy
LFP cathode powders can be directly generated from waste using LIT technology and capabilities.
These include LIT’s processing technologies SiLeach® and LieNA®, and its subsidiaries Envirostream (battery recycling) and VSPC technologies (cathode powder producer).
LIT has multiple exposures in the supply chain due to its strategy focused on creating a circular battery economy.
By uniting resources and innovation, the company seeks to vertically integrate lithium recycling, extraction and processing.
