Latin Resources Ltd (ASX:LRS) has received assay results from samples collected at its recently acquired Noombenberry Project in Western Australia.
13 Rock chip samples were taken from a designated area within the 54 square kilometre project.
Assay results revealed aluminium oxide grades of up to 25%.
Latin is looking to establish a kaolin or halloysite resource, both are soft white clay minerals used in the manufacture of china and porcelain as well as used in the making of paper, rubber, paint and other products.
A kaolin and halloysite specialist company has been engaged to conduct more detailed testing on the samples.
Results on the grade and commerciality are expected by the end January 2020.
Progressing towards drilling in March quarter
Latin’s managing director Chris Gale said: “We are extremely pleased with the encouraging results from our first pass sampling program at the Noombenberry project.
“It is an important process which is the first step to now further the exploration program which will include drilling in the first quarter of 2020.
“Upon the approval of the drilling permits for the tenements the Company will move forward with our objective of developing our maiden JORC resource.”
