Investor Update: Alba Minerals to start first ever drill programme at Clogau Gold Mine

Alba Mineral Resources (LON:ALBA) has mobilised the rig for what it says is the first ever diamond drilling programme at the famous Clogau Gold Mine in north Wales. Exploration will focus on the high priority Llechfraith Mine area.

Stobart Group (LON:STOB) increased passenger numbers at Southend Airport by almost 42% to 1.2mln in the half year to August with numbers expected to rise to 2.3mln for the full year. Interim revenues overall rose by 34% while underlying profits at its two core business improved by 37%.

Mobile payments group Bango (LON:BGO) has launched carrier billing payment services for the monthly subscription based YouTube TV package. Following an initial launch with a leading mobile operator in the US, customers can now subscribe to YouTube TV on their monthly bill. 

Burberry  has cautioned margins over the full year will fall by 0.5% more than previously forecast due to the unrest in Hong Kong.

FirstGroup (LON:FGP) has taken a £124mln write-down on its Greyhound bus network which is up for sale sending it to an interim loss of £187mln.

BHP Group has appointed insider Mike Henry as chief executive, ignoring investors’ cries to bring fresh faces to the company. Henry, who was previously president of the Australian minerals arm, will replace Andrew Mackenzie who has been at the helm for six years.
