Anson Resources increases JORC resource by 289%

The Paradox project’s resource has increased to 501 million tonnes of brine by including 4 additional clastic zones.

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has increased its JORC resource estimate by 289% to 501 million tonnes of brine for its Paradox Brine Project in the US state of Utah.

The updated resource includes four new underground zones being clastic zones 17, 19,29 and 33, which add to clastic zone 31.

The resource indicates 260,400 tonnes of contained lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) and 1,618,300t of bromine.

Scope for further resource growth

In addition to the JORC resource, an exploration target of a further 375 - 700 million tonnes of brine grading in the range of 50 mg/L to 300 mg/L lithium has been estimated for Clastic Zones 17,19, 29, 31 and 33.

The Exploration Target occurs within the project’s placer claims totalling 11,373 hectares.

Updated resource to feed into study

The increased JORC resource and the results of test work to produce lithium and bromine chemicals currently underway are intended to feed into a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) planned to commence later this year.

This included hydrological studies to develop brine extraction and spent brine reinjection disposal rates.
