Musgrave Minerals Ltd’s (ASX:MGV) earn-in partner Cyprium Metals Ltd (ASX:CYM) has revealed positive results from a regional field mapping and surface sampling program at the Cue Copper Project’s Eelya South prospect in WA.
Cyprium has an option to earn-in and joint venture for an 80% interest in the non-gold rights over the Cue Copper Project tenements.
Highlight results from the program include:
- 19.7% copper in surface sample ES13 including 0.9 g/t gold and 32.5 g/t silver;
- 14.5% copper in surface sample ES11 including 2.7 g/t gold and 14.0 g/t silver; and
- 11.4% copper in surface sample ES15 including 0.7 g/t gold and 55.5 g/t silver.
Sampling points of the Eelya South outcropping shear hosted mineralisation
The regional program was undertaken as part of Cyprium’s strategy to increase its copper resource base at the Cue Project.
The rock chip surface samples and observed surface mineralisation at the Eelya South prospect are very encouraging, consequently a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program has been accelerated at this prospect.
This program will be conducted in conjunction with RC drilling at the Hollandaire deposit and at the Rapier prospect, during November and December 2019.
Mineralised felsic shear
Cyprium executive director Barry Cahill said: “We are extremely pleased to report these high-grade copper samples from a shear occurring at surface for more than five hundred metres in length.
“We look forward to drilling this target, along with other regional prospects and extensions to Hollandaire from mid-November.
“The results received to date have reinforced the potential copper endowment of the Cue Copper Project.”
