Genel Energy PLC (LON:GENL) has been notified that production on the Tawke licence will average around 120,000 barrels per day at the end of 2019 and to stay at that level into 2020.
DNO is the operator of Tawke (in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq) while Genel has a 25% stake.
Production averaged 119,800bopd in the three months to September with output affected by a workover of the P-2 well and side-track of the P-3 well at the Peshkabir field.
Cumulative production from Tawke recently reached 300 mln barrels.
DNO added that the Peshkabir-to-Tawke gas project is on schedule for the first quarter of 2020, which will effectively eliminate gas flaring while enhancing recoverability.
