Kingston Resources begins diamond drilling at Livingstone Gold Project as it progresses towards resource estimate

The program of about 800 metres is designed to further define the controls on high-grade mineralisation at Kingsley prospect.

Kingston Resources Ltd (ASX:KSN) has begun an 800-metre diamond drilling program at the Livingstone Gold Project around 140 kilometres northwest of Meekatharra in the Bryah Basin region of WA.

The program of around 800 metres is co-funded up to $75,000 through the WA Government Exploration Incentive Scheme.

It is designed to further provide information on the controls and geometry of the high-grade mineralisation intersected at the Kingsley prospect.

Results from the program will also assist with targeting the next round of reverse circulation drilling and contribute towards delivering a maiden JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate.

Assist with targeting next phase

Managing director Andrew Corbett said: “This is an important drilling program that will help us develop an enhanced structural model for Kingsley to assist with targeting the next phase drilling.

“Our recent exploration programs have indicated that Kingsley is a potentially large, high-grade gold system with a combination of broad zones of high-grade oxide mineralisation close to surface together with high-grade intersections at depth.

“We are also continuing to progress our multi-pronged exploration program at our flagship 2.8 million ounce Misima Gold Project in Papua New Guinea with the combined programs expected to see steady news flow over the remainder of the year.”

Previous high-grade results

This diamond drilling at Livingstone follows recent high-grade assays from the maiden RC drilling program at Kingsley, which included:

  • 5 metres at 3.68 g/t gold from 12 metres, including 10 metres at 11.95 g/t from 20 metres; and
  • 2 metres at 13.88 g/t from 71 metres and 3 metres at 11.39 g/t from 95 metres.

Kingston owns 75% of the high-grade Livingstone project.
