Gfinity PLC’s (LON:GFIN) arena in London has played host to the final episode of the second season of The Esports Report, a six-episode video game news show sponsored by Omen, the gaming arm of computing giant Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:HPE).

The final episode on Wednesday night featured gaming talents such as Fortnite player Martin Bäcklund, Counter Strike: Global Offensive player Jack Peters and League of Legends player Dan Harrison.

The show covered new research which revealed the most watched games on popular broadcast platform Twitch, and the biggest risers and fallers compared to a year ago. The episode also profiled the return of EGX, the UK’s biggest gaming event, to London.

The episode was broadcast both on Omen’s Twitch chancel and video game news site GameSpot.

“Creating entertaining content formats, and helping companies to unlock value in esports, is a fast-growing segment of our business. Our unique understanding of the gaming community, and their appetite for authentic content which speaks to their passions and interests, is the inspiration for the content we have served throughout The Esports Report season two. The success of this series is testament to our role at the centre of this rapidly expanding sector”, Gfinity said in a statement.

In mid-afternoon trading on Thursday, Gfinity's shares were steady at 3.8p.
