Remote Monitored Systems PLC (LON:RMS) subsidiary GyroMetric Systems has launched its Absolute Dynamic Shaft Alignment (ADSA) system for the monitoring of rotating machinery.

RMS, which has a 58% stake in Gyrometric, said ADSA is the first system capable of performing initial absolute alignment as well as continuous dynamic (i.e. while operating) monitoring of the relative alignment of rotating machinery.

"GyroMetric's new ADSA system has the potential to transform the alignment and monitoring of rotating machinery, resulting in significant reductions in operating costs and improved failure prevention in many industrial applications,” said Trevor Brown, the executive Director of RMS.

“This is an exciting development, building on the success of GyroMetric's existing Incremental Motion Encoder technology,” he added.
