St James Place's funds under management rise to new record

The amount managed by St James Place has risen by 18% so far this year.

St James Place PLC’s (LON:STJ) fund under management rose to a new record as inflows held steady over the past three months.

Net inflows were £2.11bn in the quarter to September, slightly below the previous three months, with funds under management rising 4% to £112.8bn.

The amount managed by St James Place has risen by 18% so far this year.

Gross inflows during the quarter were £3.74bn and chief executive Andrew Croft said he was pleased with the retentions rate.

Croft added political uncertainty might affect ‘the pace of some discretionary investment flows from 'time to time', but it has no bearing on the continuing need for holistic, long-term financial planning and long-term he expects the need for financial planning and advice to grow.
