HighGold Mining Inc (CVE:HIGH) was among three new issuers, which listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange in September.
The mining group is a spin-out from Constantine Metal Resources Ltd (CVE:CEM) (OTCMKTS:CNSNF) and has two wholly-owned projects in the well-established mining jurisdictions of Alaska and Timmins, Ontario. Shares debuted on September 23 at C$0.90 and are today at C$1.12, and increase of around 24%.
Aside from the mining firm, two capital pool companies, Daura Capital and A-Labs Capital IV Corp also listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange last month
Overall there were 117 financings on the exchange in September, compared with 125 in the previous month and 95 in September 2018, and the total amount raised last month was around C$487.6 million compared to C$582 million in August this year and C$340.8 million in September last year.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) welcomed 14 new issuers in September 2019, compared with nine in August and 17 in September 2018.
The new listings were 12 exchange traded funds, one life sciences companies and one financial services company.
Total TSX financings raised in September 2019 increased 17% from the previous month, but were down 23% compared to September 2018. The total number of financings in September 2019 was 37, compared with 47 the previous month and 45 in September 2018.There were 12 IPOs (initial public offerings), compared to five in the previous month and 16 in September last year.
