Coro Energy Indonesia well gets underway

Tambak-2 is what’s called a step-out, which is designed to assess the lateral extent of the gas below the seabed.

Coro Energy PLC (LON:CORO) said drilling of a well offshore Indonesia is underway.

Tambak-2 is what’s called a step-out, which is designed to assess the lateral extent of the gas below the seabed.

In this case – and at 13 kilometres from nearest well – it is a large step out.

Tambak will be drilled to a total depth of almost 600 metres; however, the reservoir at the Mako South-1 well was intercepted at 380 metres.

It is expected to take 33 days to drill, core, log and test the new appraisal well.

Coro has 15% of the Duyung Production Sharing Contract in the West Natuna basin, offshore Indonesia
