IronRidge Resources PLC (LON:IRR) has identified more potential targets at its Dorothe gold prospects in Chad from a wide-ranging electrical resistivity programme.
Multiple anomalies were identified that coincided with the high-grade gold trenching anomalies indicating quartz veining or silica alteration that are typically hosts for gold mineralisation and possibly disseminated sulphides respectively.
The highest priority geophysical anomaly was associated with the Main Vein Zone; a 1km long low resistivity mineralised vein zone with coincident chargeability anomaly dipping steeply to the east.
IronRidge added it has also held positive meetings held with Chad's new Mining and Finance Ministers; the Honourable Mahamat Hamid Koua and the Honourable Tahir Hamid Nguilin.
Vincent Mascolo, chief executive, said: "The IP results had confirmed and enhanced the geological understanding of the Main Vein Zone target.
“The coincident resistivity and chargeability anomalies broadly occur along gold mineralised targets within trenching intervals; providing further confidence in gold targets to date and their overall structural settings.”
