The group, which allows restaurants to market discounted tables to diners during quiet periods, said the agreement with NFS Technology Group, a management and booking software firm serving 1,500 clients in 20 countries, would enable restaurant teams to access BigDish manager features directly at the POS.
The integration would also allow restaurants to access marketing and diner spend data from BigDish, which the company said would provide “valuable marketing insights”.
POSs are places where a customer makes a payment for products or services at a store or restaurant, serving as a hub for sales, inventory and customer management.
Sanj Naha, BigDish chief executive, said the firm would be meeting with the NFS team later this month to plan out the integration, adding that the move would benefit restaurant groups as it would allow “more centralised management” of BigDish within their structure.
"BigDish is firstly and foremost a technology company and I am delighted that our first point of sale integration is with NFS Technology Group, who are highly regarded within the industry”, he said.
