Kavango Resources expects to kick off KSZ drill programme soon

“The drilling company has been mobilized and within a short period of time we will be drilling on the KSZ."

Kavango Resources PLC (LON:KAV) has told investors that its drill programme at the KSZ project will kick off in “early October”.

The explorer, in a statement on Wednesday, highlighted that the initial programmes at KSZ - alternatively know as the ‘Kalahari Suture Zone’ - envisages some 1,000 metres being drilled across three holes, due to cut into targets at depths between 200 to 400 metres.

It has contracted a Botswana drilling company that’s previously been involved in the discovery and development of a number of deposits on the Kalahari Copper Belt.

Each drilling location is described as being within easy trucking distance to water sources for drilling and to the administrative town of Hukuntsi.

Noting that target selection was aided via modelling of airborne electro-magnetic data, chief executive Michael Foster highlighted that the company believes the targets are “highly attractive”.

“These priority targets are now ready for drilling,” Foster added.

“The drilling company has been mobilized and within a short period of time we will be drilling on the KSZ.

“This has been an innovative and systematic mineral exploration programme in a very under-explored region of SW Botswana that we believe has excellent potential to host significant base metal deposits."
