Itaconix PLC (LON:ITX) has been recognised as one of the top 50 companies “to disrupt the world” by a leading bio-economy publication.
The AIM-listed company, which makes specialised polymers such as a bio-based detergent polymer and another used in hair-sprays and gels, was chosen by Biofuels Digest, which calls itself the world’s most widely read biofuels daily.
The publication said it chose bioeconomy companies “that are on the journey to commercial scale with an emerging technology”, with firms chosen from various sectors including fuels, chemicals, crop protection and synthetic biology-based services.
John R. Shaw, Itconix’s chief executive, said he was pleased that the company’s efforts are gaining broader recognition.
