Avation leases four new aircraft to Swedish airline Braathens

The four ATR 72-600 aircraft were signed on 10-year leases and would be delivered during the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020

Avation PLC (LON:AVAP) has agreed to lease four new ATR 72-600 aircraft to Braathens, Sweden’s second-largest domestic airline.

The passenger aircraft leasing firm said the aircraft would be lent to Braathens for 10 years and delivered during the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.

Avation had also offered Braathens the option to purchase the aircraft at specified intervals during the lease period.

"We are pleased to complete these leases, placing four aircraft from our existing ATR order-book, and we welcome Braathens Regional Airways as a valued business partner”, said Jeff Chatfield, Avation’s executive chairman.
