88 Energy Ltd (LON:88E) has updated shareholders on the progress it has made over the first half of the year, including advancing the farm-out process of Project Icewine in Alaska. In the half-year to 30 June, the oil and gas firm selected Premier Oil as the preferred bidder for the farm-out campaign at Project Icewine’s conventional portfolio.
Utility company SSE PLC (LON:SSE) has confirmed weekend press reports that it's talking to Ovo Group about the possible sale of SSE Energy Services. The group hoisted the “for sale” sign on its energy services business back in May. The division supplies energy and related services to around 5.7mln household customers in Great Britain.
Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited (LON:CGH) has signed a joint venture with a Turkish mining contractor to collaborate on the Tulkubash and Kyzyltash projects in the Kyrgyz Republic. The AIM-listed miner said under the deal the firm will progressively invest up to US$31.5mln in cash for a 12.5% stake in the two projects.
