Going forward, the portfolio will be sold through Marrone Bio’s existing sales force and distribution network, except for the post-harvest business, which has been licensed back to Jet Harvest Solutions.

Q BioMed Inc (OTCMKTS:QBIO) and India-based Chemveda Life Sciences have formalized their collaboration on a compound engineered to battle liver cancer. The companies have been involved in a joint research program since early 2017 to synthesize the compound uttroside-B and study its use for the treatment of liver cancer. Uttroside-B, is a potent saponin, a type of chemical compound found in Black Nightshade shrub. Obtaining it can be challenging, but Chemvada developed a method to synthesize it. Now, the plan is to ramp up production and go forward with pre-clinical testing and clinical trials.
Pacific Empire Minerals Corp (CVE:PEMC) shares shot higher Wednesday as the firm said it expects to begin drilling at its Pinnacle Porphyry project with its own custom-built RC (reverse circulation) drill rig in November this year. The firm outlined plans for a 20-hole program focused on the highest priority targets at the Elbow and Sooner zones at the British Columbia project. European High Growth Opportunities Securitization Fund announced Wednesday it has converted C$160,000 of Braingrid Limited (CSE:BGRD) debentures of its remaining C$370,000 of debentures into 2 million shares of the company, at a price of C$0.08 per share. The fund is run by London-based money manager Alpha Blue Ocean Inc. Under the terms of the C$5.1 million financing deal between Braingrid and the Fund on July 11, the company has a cumulative make-whole obligation of $572,600, which is payable by cash or stock.
