EnWave Corporation (CVE:ENW) announced Monday that it has signed a new license agreement in Japan for its proprietary dehydration technology.
The company agreed to license its Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV) technology to Kameya Foods Corporation, an agricultural manufacturing company based in Shinshuku, central Japan.
Under the terms of the royalty-bearing license, Kameya Foods purchased a 10kW commercial REV machine to kick off commercial production in the Asian nation.

The agreement allows Kameya Foods non-exclusive rights to process seafood and fruit products as well as exclusive rights to process wasabi, tofu and tea products in the country.
The license is the second such deal for EnWave in Japan, the Vancouver-based company told investors.
EnWave’s dehydration technology is faster and cheaper than freeze drying, with better product quality than air drying or spray drying, according to the company.
The company recently received a second equipment order for REV from Australia’s Ashgrove Cheese Ltd Pty, the makers of the popular Amazeballs cheese snack.
