Howard will be replaced on an interim basis by Richard Myson, the company’s previous CFO and current head of internal audit, until a permanent appointment was made.
Current chief executive Stephen Blyth will no longer move to become executive chairman as previously announced on 6 June, while Alex Borrelli would remain as non-executive chairman.
The freight management services group said the search for a new non-executive director and new CFO were “well advanced” and it expected to announce an appointment for the former soon.
"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Stuart for the good work he has done particularly in terms of strengthening key functions across the business. We wish him well for the future and will update the market on his successor and other board changes in due course", Borrelli said.
In early trading on Friday, Xpediator’s shares were steady at 23.5p.
