Alien Metals PLC (LON:UFO) has unearthed silver grades that would be classed as bonanza values rather than being out of this world from its concessions in Zacatecas State, Mexico, a global hotspot for discoveries.
One assay returned 1,275 grams per tonne (g/t), which is the equivalent of 15.5 g/t of gold based on the respective current prices of the precious metals.
There was another sample at 547 g/t of silver from the San Celso and Los Campos projects, while 18 different samples averaged 272 g/t.
Gold was also discovered – not quite at bonanza grades – but a very respectable 2.68 g/t.
Technical director Bill Brodie Good said: “The company’s San Celso and Los Campos projects continue to show significant potential for high-grade silver mineralisation.
“This recent round of sampling has confirmed historic surface and underground work on these projects and that there remain significant mineralised in-situ ore bodies to be developed.”
