Sure Ventures PLC (LON:SURE) has increased invested another €2.5mln into the Sure Valley Ventures sub-fund as a number of companies in the portfolio approach the next round of funding.
The venture capital fund has increased its stake in Sure Valley Ventures from 21.6% to 25.9% with an initial €848,784 from current cash resources that increases Sure Ventures' exposure to the companies within the sub-fund's portfolio.
Sure Ventures chairman Perry Wilson said the board was “very impressed” with the composition of the portfolio and “very encouraged” by the performance of the underlying software businesses so far, which include virtual reality games developer Artomatix and IoT developer platform Wia.
So far, the AIM-listed fund has invested a total of €7mln into Sure Valley Ventures, an Irish collective asset-management vehicle (ICAV).
