In a portfolio update, intellectual property investor Tekcapital said eleven companies were now testing MicroSalt, Salarius’ low sodium salt alternative, while a newly trademarked snack range is expected to launch in the first half of next year under its SaltMe! brand.
To accelerate commercial uptake and interest in its products, Salarius will also attend two major food shows over the next couple of months, SupplySide West in Las Vegas, one of the biggest ingredients shows in the US, and the Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore.
Victor Hugo Manzanilla, chief executive of Salarius, said the company’s first customer had placed a third order for MicroSalt, adding that the group had also received “significant prospective customer interest”.
“We look forward to expanding our customer pipeline and will advise the market in due course with new customer engagements", he said.
Dr Clifford Gross, executive chairman of Tekcapital, said the company was “glad to see Salarius' continued efforts to expand its customer base”.
The news sent Tekcapital’s shares up 3.9% to 8.1p in early deals on Monday.
