Matomy Media receives approaches from parties interested in buying its Team Internet stake

A look at the day's major movers, including Webis Holdings and Wey Education

Matomy Media Group Ltd (LON:MTMY) soared 54% to 3.535p after it said it had received several non-binding offers to sell its shares in Team Internet.

Matomy, which owns 90% of Team Internet's share capital, said selling its stake would “likely enable it to meet all of its obligations”.

The company is reviewing the terms and conditions of the offers and offered the usual caveat that it is not certain any sale will take place.

2.30pm: Argo Blockchain recoups cost of crypto mining machines faster than expected

Argo Blockchain PLC (LON:ARB) shares rose 4.1% to 10.15p after it said investment into new cryptocurrency mining hardware has paid off faster than expected.

The firm said that 1,000 Bitmain Z11 Antminer machines, which went into production in early May, had achieved 100% payback on their cost in under half the estimated time.

Based on current mining margins, Argo said it was also “well ahead of schedule” to recoup the cost of 2,267 S17 Antminer machines which had entered production in May and June.

1.45pm: Proactis slides as it plays it coy on the formal sale process

Traders were disappointed that the trading update from software house Proactis Holdings PLC (LON:PHD) contained little concrete news on potential bidders.

The board said it has received a number of expressions of interest following the company's announcement of the formal sales process on 29 July 2019 and intends to update shareholders following a careful review of these.

The shares were down 9.8% at 46p.

1.15pm: Rainbow sags after chief executive steps down

Burundi-based Rainbow Rare Earths Limited (LON:RBW) has changed its senior management with George Bennett taking over from Martin Eales as chief executive.

Bennett has formed and run many mining and energy companies in a 25-year career including Shanta Gold, OreCorp, Argentum while in 2014 he sold MDM Engineering to Foster Wheeler for US$120mln.

The shares were down 9.2% at 2.95p.

11.35am: Okyo Pharma tears it up

OKYO Pharma Limited (LON:OKYO) shares rose 4.4% to 6p after it hailed “potent anti-inflammatory effects” of its OK-113 treatment for dry eye disease.

OK-113 reduced corneal permeability and other symptoms of dry eye in mice suffering dry eye disease, or “DED”, as Okyo somewhat morbidly referred to the disease.

In these studies, OK-113 was as potent as cyclosporine, an immunosuppressive drug that is the active ingredient of Restasis eye drops.

10.25am: Attis secures third oilfield service contract

Attis Oil and Gas Ltd (LON:AOGL), the company formerly known as Mayan Energy, climbed 9.1% to 0.12p after it secured its third oilfield service contract.

The company has been engaged by a private firm, Large Operating, to provide regulatory testing and reporting services for 825 wells in the Texas Panhandle, bringing the total wells now under contract, with three separate operating companies, to 1,812.

"We are gaining a strong reputation for our oilfield services capabilities and this latest contract award both increases our well count by 45% and again endorses our operating ability,” said Thom Board, the chief operating officer of Attis.

9.30am: Webis is California dreaming after licence renewal

Webis Holdings PLC (LON:WEB), the totalisator-style betting company, rose 14% to 1.25p on the back of a licence renewal in California.

Its US-based business, WatchandWager.com, has been granted a renewal of its licence to conduct harness racing at Cal Expo by the California Horse Racing Board, which is planned to run till 25th April 2020.

With the renewal of the Cal Expo licence, the board also revealed it is in advanced negotiations with the Cal Expo landlord with a plan to obtain a significant extension of the contract to operate racing at the track.

Wey Education PLC (LON:WEY), the online education group, shot up 12% to 10.1p after it raised full-year guidance.

Revenues for the full year will exceed £6.0m, which is well ahead of market expectations and up more than 43% on the previous year, the company said.

The increased revenue has allowed the group to increase its marketing spend in the current year to ensure as far as possible that revenue expectations for the year ended 31 August 2020 will be met. Nevertheless, it is expected that adjusted profits for the current year will be at least in line with market expectations, Wey said.

Tissue Regenix Group (LON:TRX) has appointed a new chief financial officer. The regenerative medical devices specialist said Mike Barker will join the board with immediate effect having held the role on an interim basis since the start of the year.

Collagen Solutions PLC (LON:COS) chief executive Jamal Rushdy said the regenerative medicines specialists was seeing “continued growth as expected”, supported by June’s £5.96mln fundraiser.

EQTEC PLC (LON:EQT) has announced the appointment of David Palumbo and Yoel Alemán Méndez who join as executive directors with immediate effect.

Tower Resources PLC (LON:TRP) has switched rig contracts for the scheduled drilling work on the Thali block in Cameroon.
