Premier African Minerals Limited (LON:PREM) expects the electrification of its RHA tungsten mine to be completed by the end of November following talks with Zimbabwe's electricity company ZESA.
"We are pleased that ZESA has now set out that the complete infrastructure that is needed at the mine site will be completed towards the end of November 2019,” said chief executive George Roach.
“With this now known, work for bringing the underground operations back on stream can commence."
The company said the 6mln Zimbabwean dollars received from the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Fund provided RHA with the funding to start electrification.
Works at RHA will be divided into two phases to reduce the amount of time needed to complete the project.
Premier is the operator and 49%-owner of the mine.
