Malcolm Pye, the chief executive officer of Benchmark Holdings PLC (LON:BMK), has notified the board of his decision to step down on 30 November.
Pye’s departure will enable the aquaculture and genetics firm to appoint a chief executive to drive the next phase of Benchmark’s growth and development.
Until that appointment is made, Peter George, the chairman of Benchmark, will take on executive duties.
Pye, the founder of the business, will remain on the board as a non-executive director (NED).
“We are delighted that he will remain with Benchmark in a NED role, which will ensure we retain his significant expertise,” said Peter George.
"We have begun the search for his successor and look forward to updating on progress and ensuring a smooth handover of duties in due course," George said.
