Gold Road Resources Ltd (ASX:GOR) has maintained safe, steady-state operations of the comminution circuit for 96 hours at the mill for its Gruyere Gold Project in Western Australia.
With the test successfully completed, the throughput rate will be ramped up with an ongoing focus on achieving high utilisation of the process plant to deliver nameplate capacity.
Gold Road and its JV partner Gold Fields continue to make good progress at Gruyere following the production of its first gold bars in July 2019.
These gold bars totalling 1,139 ounces were produced from the carbon‐in‐leach (CIL) and elution circuits.
Working towards commercial production rates
From the commencement of mining to the end of the July production period, a total of 3.4 million tonnes ore has been mined at 0.83 g/t gold for 90,700 contained ounces of gold.
This ore will be fed through the mill with commercial production anticipated mid‐way through the
6-7 month ramp‐up period as previously guided.
During July 2019, 2,260 ounces of gold were produced from processing 330,000 tonnes grading 0.82 g/t gold with an 89.8% recovery rate.
Notably, recovery is consistent with feasibility study test‐work and better than anticipated during early plant commissioning.
