Anson Resources to leverage extensive lithium industry experience of Tom Currin

This appointment will assist the company to optimise the extraction of multiple chemical products from brine sourced from the Paradox project.

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) will leverage the considerable lithium industry experience of Tom Currin of Southwest Technologies through his appointment as a technical advisor.

The appointment will provide a comprehensive overview for optimising the extraction of multiple chemical products from brine sourced from Anson’s Paradox Brine Project in the US.

This will be done by leveraging Currin’s significant experience in brine processing.

Developing flowsheet

Currin will advise Anson on the development of a flowsheet from the pretreatment of raw brine to the integration of processes for the extraction of lithium and other chemicals.

This work will be in addition to his existing engagement designing Anson’s pilot plant for the extraction of lithium chemicals.

Currin previously worked for lithium producer FMC Corp (NYSE:FMC) for 12 years and has been involved in the design and construction of five lithium carbonate pilot plants worldwide.

Extensive global network

He has an extensive global network of business contacts in the chemical extraction and production field, particularly in the United States.

The company has received ad-hoc consultancy services from Currin over the past four months.

He successfully produced the 1-kilogram lithium carbonate sample from the lithium chloride eluate extracted by Lilac Solutions from the Paradox brine.

This sample was tested by a Chinese cathode manufacturer which confirmed the electric vehicle battery grade specifications.

Anson’s new technical advisor is involved in the production of a 20-kilogram sample of lithium carbonate that will be offered to additional potential customers.
