Allot says its cybersecurity offering with McAfee helped Telefónica small business subscribers block 80,000 potential threats

Allot and McAfee created a secure connection for the company's small and medium-sized business customers, known as Conexión Segura Empresas

Allot Ltd (NASDAQ:ALLT) (TASE:ALLT) has helped prevent more than 80,000 potential security threats from impacting Telefónica SA’s (NYSE:TEF) business subscribers since the launch of its custom security offering in May, the Spanish telecommunications giant revealed on Monday.

Allot, along with fellow cybersecurity player McAfee, created a secure connection for the company's small and medium-sized business customers, known as Conexión Segura Empresas.

The service protects customers from phishing attempts — which represents nearly 90% of blocked threats — and other forms of fraud like website impersonation and data theft.

According to research from Telefónica, a new cybersecurity threat is created every six seconds. Small businesses are often less protected, making them ideal targets for cybercriminals. That’s where Allot and McAfee’s Conexión Segura Empresas comes in.

The platform, which averages about 100 new and existing customers each day, lets Telefonica filter data that enters its network and do away with what it detects to be a virus or malicious software. It also prevents user access to risky websites and protects employees mobile devices in the event of loss or theft.

“We are very pleased to see the ongoing success of our comprehensive security service in Europe,” Allot Global Sales VP Francisco Delgado said in a statement. “We take pride in the knowledge that in addition to protecting Telefonica’s customers, we are enabling the company to achieve high service penetration rates and customer satisfaction for this premium security service.”

Shares of Allot slipped 0.4% Monday morning to $7.37.
