Meteoric Resources enters trading halt ahead of capital raising news

Meteoric has started a 4,700-metre, 26-hole drilling program at its Juruena Gold Project in Brazil.

Meteoric Resources NL (ASX:MEI) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX ahead of a capital raising announcement.

The trading halt will remain in place until the start of trading on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, or when an announcement is made to the market, whichever occurs earliest.

Meteoric has commenced a 4,700-metre, 26-hole drilling program at its Juruena Gold Project in Brazil, initially targeting the Dona Maria prospect.

Juruena’s existing resource estimate is 1.3 million tonnes for 261,000 ounces of gold at 6.3 g/t.

This includes the high-grade Dona Maria and Querosense resources amounting to 436,000 tonnes at 14.7 g/t for 205,000 ounces of gold.

Drilling will follow up existing bonanza-grade gold intersections at multiple targets.
