W Resources is developing La Parrilla in two phases

W Resources PLC’s (LON:WRES) is getting to the closing stages of construction at the La Parrilla mine in Spain, says chairman Michael Masterman.

“The Crusher and Jig and Mill Plants are commissioned and processing ore and the new large-scale Concentrator Plant is set to start-up by September.

“Production from the old Concentrator Plant was below expectations in July, but importantly is greatly assisting with the enhancement of the new large-scale Concentrator Plant, which has been designed for full-scale operation.”

W Resources has capitalised US$1.29mln of interest on a loan from BlackRock Financial Management to give it more liquidity, he added.

Elsewhere, a JORC update of Régua's Reserves and Resource is scheduled for the final quarter of the year, though the estimate for the São Martinho gold deposit is still being reviewed.
