Greencoat UK Wind PLC (LON:UKW) has appointed a former director of SSE PLC (LON:SSE), one of the UK’s big six energy suppliers, to its board.
Caoimhe Giblin, who spent seven years at SSE Renewables until 2014 in various senior roles, including as director of finance, will join Greencoat as a non-executive director on September 1.
Before SSE, she was head of client services for ElectroRoute Holdings Ltd and an auditor at KPMG. Last year she was elected to sit on the Irish Wind Energy Association Council.
"With her financial background and wind energy sector experience we believe that Caoimhe will make a valuable contribution to the company,” said Greencote chairman Tim Ingram.
