Sunrise Resources (LON:SRES) has expanded its footprint in Nevada.
The explorer has signed additional lease agreements for the Bay State silver project and has staked eight additional new claims at the County Line project.
Reconnaissance sampling results with grades of up to 16 grams per tonne, meanwhile, have unearthed a new gold exploration project called Junction Road.
"We are pleased to have increased our ground holding at the Bay State and County Line projects and to be reporting the generation of a new gold project with high gold values from our reconnaissance sampling in an overlooked area of Nevada," said executive chairman Patrick Cheetham.
Bay State, near the mining town Eureka, has yielded favourable sampling results for silver, zinc and lead. The new lease agreement with Victory Exploration adds the Battery & Sanchez claims. These areas are believed to contain silver bearing veins.
The additional claims for the County Line expand the footprint for diatomite - an industrial mineral used for filtration of beer, wine and other liquids – to a total of 101 claim areas.
Sunrise said diatomite sampling and testing programmes continues, with encouraging results.
At the new Junction Road gold exploration project a total of 15 claims have now been staked following positive findings from sampling.
