Landore Resources (AIM:LND) released a broad update on operations this morning. Landore said it had initiated a 60 hole, 13,000 metre drilling program, with two rigs in mid April. The goal is to extend the existing inferred resource and carry out infill drilling to increase the indicated resource at its Junior Lake Nickel Project. Junior Lake is part of the Caribou-O-Sullivan Greenstone Belt, located approximately 235 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, in north-western Ontario, Canada.
Landore also said that Golder Associates had commenced a aquatic study related to the lake's drainage tributaries, the company had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the local First Nations, and a application had been submitted with the Ontario Government to convert the mining claim to a lease.
