Firestone Diamonds (LON:FDI) named Glenn Black as chief project officer for the Liqhobong diamond mine in Lesotho.
Black spent more than 20 years with De Beers working on major projects in Namibia, South Africa, Canada where he successfully delivered nine of the largest and most complex projects undertaken by De Beers during this period, Firestone said.
“Glenn has a wealth of experience in project execution and he brings with him the ability to help build a successful project team,” said Firestone chief executive Stuart Brown. “This team will be critical as we start the development and construction of the Main Treatment Plant at the Liqhobong diamond mine, with a view to successful project delivery in early 2016."
