Motive Television (LON:MTV), the “TV anytime, anywhere” company, has launched a new platform dubbed Content Express.
The company, which provides revenue enhancing technology-based solutions to the television industry, describes Content Express as a one-stop shop for digital terrestrial broadcasters, satellite, digital terrestrial television (DTT) cable pay television platforms, and Internet over-the-top (OTT) content providers.
The platform, which encompasses both proven and new capabilities of Motive’s patented technology, will enable TV companies to offer new services including: video on demand (including targeted advertising); catch-up TV; tablet television; “Mocast” – Motive’s bandwidth decongestant - for 4G LTE devices; virtual channels and Video2Go – a combination of social media and media streaming.
As Motive’s chief executive Leonard Fertig said, the new platform is the culmination of many years of work developing and deploying solutions for providers who are keen to satisfy modern society’s need to be permanently connected to the global village.
“We can now offer an integrated and proven solution for any type of distribution of on-demand content to any and all screens. Motive is a market leader in helping its partners deliver the services and content most in demand today," Fertig said.
The launch of Content Express is the latest in a string of announcements by Motive in the last month that has helped push the shares more than 10% higher.
