Next Thursday's forum promises to be quite an evening as we return to the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel to showcase four companies at very important and exciting stages of their development.

Sharing the stage on November 21 will be an equal mix of mining firms and oil & gas companies.

Presenting will be Dart Energy (ASX:DTE), Victoria Oil & Gas (LON:VOG), Condor Gold (LON:CNR) and Xtract Resources (LON:XTA).

Please ensure you don't miss out by securing your place HERE...

Dart Energy (ASX:DTE) is the least well-known of the companies on the hunt for shale gas in the UK.

But that might all be about to change as an AIM listing could be on the cards for this gas group.

It has just secured the backing of France’s GDF Suez in a deal that will see the world’s biggest power producer fund shale gas exploration in exchange for a 25% interest in 13 of Dart’s licences in the Bowland shale basin; GDF Suez will be pumping up to US$39mln in to be exact.

These wholly-owned licences are located in north-west England and Wales, span 340,510 acres and represent 38% of Dart's British acreage; it has a total of thirty-one unconventional gas licences.

The partners could drill as many as four exploration and appraisal wells targeting shale gas over a three-year period.

Chief executive John McGoldrick takes to the stage to explain the merits of the GDF deal, as well as what it means for Dart's coal bed methane licences in Scotland.

Mining company Condor Gold (LON:CNR) has been busy since it last presented at a Proactive event.

It has carried out 14,000 metres of infill drilling, making the economics of the main open pit resource at its La India prospect in Nicaragua much more robust.

The company recently issued a new resource estimate for La India that saw a 43% increase in the amount of gold in the higher confidence indicated category as well as a 20% increase in the total open pit resource.

Mark Child, chief executive officer and chairman, will join us to explain the significance of the new numbers in more detail.

Victoria Oil & Gas (LON:VOG) recently put its hand up over the difficulties it has faced getting both infrastructure and new customers for its Logbaba gas field in Cameroon.

But if the first step to rectify a problem is to admit there is one, Victoria may have gone some way to unlock some of the undoubted potential at Logbaba.

In early November, Victoria tied up a second brewery contract for 500,000 standard cubic feet (scf) of gas per day, which took daily output to 2.9mln scf or, more importantly, break even for the group in Cameroon.

With a further potential backlog of orders totalling 9.6mln scf per day, there is clearly the potential to transform future revenues and cash flow once everything is running smoothly.

Meanwhile, former Pan African Resources boss Jan Nelson has made quick work of reforming Xtract Resources(LON:XTA), formerly an oil business, to refocus on his speciality – building and refurbishing mines.

The micro-cap resource firm is currently ironing out the details of a proposed takeover of the Chépica copper-gold mine in Chile.

Chépica is precisely the kind of cash generative operation upon which Nelson can build the remainder of the business.

The mine is currently in ramp-up, and Nelson and his team have already spotted opportunities to enhance the operations.

At the same time a neighbouring phosphate project offers some exciting, albeit longer term, potential.

Xtract will, in the not too distant future, be looking to raise capital for the group’s new direction, and at our Mayfair presentation investors will have the opportunity to gain a unique insight into this intriguing AIM re-launch.

Please join us at 5.45pm to allow for a prompt 6pm start. Each firm has around 30 minutes to give a short presentation and for Q&A, followed by the 'Champagne Raffle'.

The evening will end with a complimentary bar and an assortment of hot & cold canapes, giving you the opportunity to speak with the directors and other investors.
