Churchill Mining (AIM:CHL) listed in April 2005 and is committed to growing shareholder value by becoming a leading minerals explorer and future miner at a time of accelerating commodities demand. Churchill's business plan is to leverage off the strong growth in demand currently being experienced in China and India for commodities which are used as feedstock in the ever expanding energy industries.
Churchill Mining’s strategy is to explore and develop mining projects that will leverage off the current appetite for raw commodities which are used in burgeoning steel and energy industries in growing economies. Churchill’s main focus is its highly prospective thermal coal project located in the East Kutai Regency of Kalimantan, Indonesia. Churchill has also acquired the Sendawar CBM Project in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, which is in a highly prospective area for coal bed methane.
Frontier Mining (AIM: FML) currently owns two licenses in Kazakhstan. They are the Naimanjal exploration and mining licence, held by FML Kazakhstan, and, 50% of U.S. Megatech BVI, which holds the Benkala, licence. FML Kazakhstan is a wholly owned subsidiary of Frontier Mining Ltd. Frontier has one producing gold mine, Naimanjal; one pre-feasibility stage gold project, Koskuduk; and the recently acquired 50% interest in the Benkala copper mine. Frontier also owns a 50% interest in KazCopper LLP, the joint venture Company that owns the Benkala copper-molybdenum-gold deposit located in northwestern Kazakhstan within the Urals gold/copper ore belt.
A conceptual study team and advisory team have both been appointed to fast track the development of this project forward towards a pre- feasibility study, with a view to beginning production at the end of 2010.
Aurelian Oil & Gas (AIM:AUL) was founded in December 2002, by Managing Director, Michael Seymour and is focused on the re-emerging Central and Eastern European oil and gas markets, the oldest producing oil province in the world.
The Company has developed a diversified portfolio throughout the region. Currently Aurelian has a wide portfolio of concessions in Poland (18), Slovakia (3), Romania (4) and Bulgaria (2), and a range of production, appraisal and exploration projects.
