Work was suspended in November to allow advanced analysis of the well.
After carrying out what it called a “rigorous” assessment of Eblana, which included 3D reservoir modelling, USOP will test 14 zones, eight of which have previously been perforated.
All eyes will be on the potential of two with a net pay of 150 feet.
The six yet to be perforated for the first time are located between 3,000 and 4,600 feet. Their porosities range from 17% to 22%.
The rig operator contract is currently being finalised and details will be announced in due course, USOP said.
“The company confirms that it is fully funded to complete its currently planned testing programme and the drilling of at least one further well,” it added.
