Experienced oil and gas man Robin Pinchbeck has joined the board of IGas Energy (LON:IGAS).
IGas chairman Francis Gugen said: "I am delighted to welcome Robin to the board.
"He brings a wealth of experience in creating value in the sector and I look forward to him contributing to IGas' further growth."
IGas has a portfolio of UK based assets, with a mix of both conventional and unconventional projects.
Shale gas and coal bed methane provides the excitement to the platform of conventional oil and gas production.
The conventional oil assets produce just over 2,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day and they have reserves of 11.3 million barrels.
Meanwhile, the company is still working to unlock and commercialise the unconventional side of the business – with 9.1 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of coal bed methane and 4.6 tcf of shale gas in place.
