Investor Update: Argo Blockchain more than doubles crypto mining capacity

Arc Minerals (LON:ARCM) has identified a large new target called West Lunga on its licences in Zambia.  West Lunga is 6km long and has anomalous copper all along the strike, which is in the western part of the Zamsort and Zaco licences.

Argo Blockchain (LON:ARB) has undertaken a doubling of its Bitcoin mining capacity. The company has ordered 5,000 crypto mining machines at a total cost of more than US$13mln.

Directa Plus (LON:DCTA) has been granted  a US patent for its  Liquid G+ technology, paving the way for the group to create a graphene-enhanced ink based on its technology.

Poor weather in May knocked sales at Primark though owner AB foods still expects a good profit performance from the discount retailer for the year.  Group revenue rose 3% in the 40 weeks to 22 June and by 4% excluding sugar.

Persimmon’s efforts to improve the build quality of its houses have not yet translated into higher sales as revenues dropped 5.6% in the first half of 2019. Completions fell 6% though house prices rose slightly on average.

Israel-based oil and gas group Energean has splashed out US$750mln on a suite of assets in the Mediterranean, North Sea and elsewhere in Europe from US oil giant Edison. The deal will add 292 million barrels of reserves - and production of 69,000 barrels per day
