APQ Global's Bart Turtelboom: US-Mexico trade war 'a disturbing episode'

APQ Global PLC's (LON:APQ) Bart Turtelboom described the recent tariff tiff between the US and Mexico as a 'very disturbing episode' using national security considerations as a means to impose tariffs to achieve 'misguided objectives'.

''It throws wrenches into trade and economic activity for no particularly good reason and it's going to have long-term consequences for the relationship between the two countries''.

Turtelboom also offers his thoughts on the US-China trade talks, the liklihood of a near-term rate cut by the Fed and what all this means for emerging markets.
