Peninsula Energy obtains key regulatory approval for low-pH uranium extraction

Peninsula Energy Ltd (ASX:PEN) chief executive officer Wayne Heili speaks to Proactive Investors about the uranium company receiving the first of two key regulatory approvals for low-pH uranium extraction.
The company is the only ASX-listed US producer of uranium, based in Wyoming, and has started a new pilot phase at its Lance Projects to assist productivity and reduce costs.
The transition from an alkaline-based chemistry to a low-pH-based chemistry for the lixiviant, or medium, Peninsula uses to leach uranium from ore is expected to help it reach the lower end of the cost curve and improve the attractiveness of its project.
