UK Investor Update - March 21st 2019

Base Resources Limited (LON:BSE) says a feasibility study for its Toliara project has confirmed it is a world class mineral sands project.  The net present value was estimated at US$671mln in the study.

Kibo Energy PLC's (LON:KIBO) key study for the Benga thermal power plant in Mozambique has been completed ahead of schedule and is now in the final review stage. Coal and power purchase agreement discussions are also at an advanced stage.

Next PLC's (LON:NXT) online revenues are set to overtake its high street stores this year.  Annual profits fell slightly as store sales tumbled by 8% but online revenues grew by almost 15%.  The retailer's predicted earnings per share will rise 3.6% in the coming year.

Ted Baker PLC (LON:TED) expects the investigation into allegations of misconduct against chief executive Ray Kelvin to conclude next month.  The fashion chain saw profits fall by 26% last year, which it blamed on discounting, problems with partners and unseasonable weather.

Housebuilder Persimmon PLC (LON:PSN) is to set aside an average £3,600 on each house it builds as a deposit against any faults that might arise after construction. The money, which is equal to about 1.5% of the total home value and 6% of build cost, will be lodged with the buyer’s solicitor.
