Impax Environmental monetises the growth in green markets

Jon Forster Senior Portfolio manager of Impax Environmental Markets (LON:IEM), tells Proactive London why the company is investing globally across a full range of 'green' markets. From energy, to waste, water and materials, food and agriculture Forster says their growth story has been part of a global phenomenon. The war on plastics during 2018 has been a factor in that growth as well as the increasing dominance of technology and software driving change towards greater efficiencies in the industrial value chain, or IoT (Internet of Things). India is a huge growth opportunity for the company and Forster says the severe environmental problems the country faces is pushing that agenda forward. Forster says the company is positioning itself now to capitalise on opportunities in sustainable food and agriculture businesses which reduce any environmental impact on the planet. Forster says there's a growing audience of investors who want to know what their money is being used for and as the company is a pure play fund, they can now be reassured as to precisely what the net environmental benefit is.
