Anthony Kongats, chief executive of super-capacitor specialist Cap-XX Limited (LON:CPX), joins Proactive to discuss its interim results and the company’s licence agreement with US manufacturer AVX Corporation.
He says the AVX deal is a “really strong signal to the market the Cap-XX technology is not only strong from a patent point of view but also from a value point of view.”
Last month, the company reported interim results that were hit by slower orders as the market in general has weakening demand, but Kongats adds that he expects sales to be “picking up in the near term”.
He says the company will continue to look for partnerships this year, either in the form of joint ventures or licence agreements, to push forward its pipeline of new products including Thinline and Truckstart.
